FIVE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO A CANDIDATE AND AN IMPERSONATOR IN A CASE RELATED TO VYAPAM

The Special Judge, Vyapam Cases, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) has sentenced Shri Dinesh Kushwah, the candidate and Shri Mukesh Kushwah, the impersonator, both to undergo five years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. 3700/- each in a case related to Vyapam.

CBI had registered a case on 07.08.2015 in pursuance to the orders dated 09.07.2015 passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and taken over the investigation of the FIR No. 187/2013, earlier registered at Police Station Poorsa, Morena against two accused. It was alleged that the accused persons were involved in cheating by way of impersonation in the PCRT 2012 examination conducted by Vyapam.

After investigation, a chargesheet was filed on 31.10.2016 in the Designated Court. The Court found the accused persons guilty and convicted them.
