CBI ARRESTS AN ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER (FOOD & SUPPLY) OF DELHI GOVERNMENT IN A BRIBERY CASE OF RS.50,000/-

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Commissioner (South Zone), Food & Supply Department, Govt of NCT, Delhi and a private person in a bribery case of Rs.50,000/-.

          A case was registered U/s. 120-B of IPC & Sections 7, 7A of PC Act, 1988 (Amended PC Act, 2018) on a complaint alleging that the Assistant Commissioner, South Zone, Food & Supply, GNCT of Delhi was demanding Rs. 50,000/- from the complainant for not taking action against complainant's fair price shop in an enquiry. CBI laid a trap and the Assistant Commissioner & the private person were caught while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of both the accused.


Both the arrested accused will be produced today before the Special Judge for CBI Cases, Saket Courts, Delhi.
