CBI ARRESTS A SHO OF DELHI POLICE AND AN ADVOCATE IN AN ALLEGED BRIBERY CASE OF Rs. TWO LAKH

The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested a SHO, Police Station, Saket, Delhi Police and an advocate in an alleged bribery case of Rs. Two lakh.

A case was registered on 31.7.2018 against a SHO of Delhi Police posted at Police Station Saket, Delhi; an advocate; a Delhi based private firm & its five officials including Directors; another official and others. It is alleged that the accused in conspiracy with each other were involved in demand, provision and acceptance of illegal gratification.  It is also alleged that the issue was to show undue favour for settlement of cases registered against Directors / owners of said private firm. CBI laid a trap and caught the SHO, Saket, Delhi Police and the advocate while transacting the bribe of Rs. 2,00,000/-.

Searches are being conducted today at various locations in Delhi at the residential and official premises of accused persons.

The accused will be produced in the Designated Court, Delhi.
