CBI FILES A CHARGESHEET AGAINST FIVE ACCUSED IN A CASE RELATED TO CRIMINAL ASSUALT & OTHER OFFENCES IN DISTRICT UNNAO (UTTAR PRADESH)

The Central Bureau of Investigation has today filed a chargesheet against five accused, all residents of Sarai Thok Makhi, District Unnao (Uttar Pradesh) u/s 34 r/w 147, 148, 149, 323, 504, 506, 302 of IPC and substantive offences thereof in one of the cases related to incidents in District Unnao (Uttar Pradesh).

CBI had registered the case on 12.04.2018 under section 147, 323, 504 of IPC against four accused, all residents of Sarai Thok, Hamlet of Makhi, Makhi, District Unnao & unknown others and taken over the investigation of Case No. 90/2018 U/s 147, 323, 504 of IPC dated 04.04.2018 earlier registered at Police Statio Makhi, District Unnao (U.P.) on the notifications issued by Govt. of UP and Govt. of India. This case was initially registered on 04.04.2018 at Police Station Makhi, Dsitrict Unnao on a complaint of wife of victim (Since deceased), resident of Village-Sarai Thok Makhi, District Unnao alleging therein that on 03.04.2018, her husband came from Delhi to attend the court regarding the petition filed by her u/s 156 (3) Cr.PC for registration of a case related to rape of her minor daughter. It was further alleged that at  about 6.00 PM,  the accused persons abused and assaulted her husband in front of her house and also beaten the complainant, her mother-in-law and daughters, when they intervened in the matter. During the incident, her husband sustained serious injuries.

During investigation, all the accused including in FIR and two more accused were arrested. They are presently in judicial custody.

Further investigation in this case to look into the roles of others including an MLA, officials is continuing.

The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
