CBI ARRESTS A SUB INSPECTOR OF DELHI POLICE FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS.ONE LAKH

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Sub Inspector of Delhi Police posted at Police Station Khajuri Khas, New Delhi for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.One Lakh from the complainant.

A case was registered against the Sub Inspector of Delhi Police posted at Police Station Khajuri Khas, New Delhi u/s 7 of PC Act, 1988 on a complaint. It was alleged that complainant's son was arrested in a case by the said Sub-Inspector. It was further alleged that the complainant went to Khajuri Khas Police Station where the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 4,00,000/- from the complainant to help his son from the case being investigated by him. The accused was allegedly agreed to accept Rs.1,00,000/- after negotiation with complainant as part payment.

CBI laid a trap and caught the Sub-Inspector red handed while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs. 1,00,000/- from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the residential premises of accused in Delhi.

The arrested accused was produced today before the Special Judge, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi and remanded to 14 days Judicial Custody.
