DEATH SENTENCE TO TWO ACCUSED IN NITHARI MURDER CASE

The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh) has today imposed death panelty to two accused Surender Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher with fine of Rs.35000/- and Rs. 25000/- respectively in one of the Nithari (U.P) group of cases related to murder.

CBI had registered a case on 11.01.2007 against accused Surender Koli resident of a Village Magru Khal, District Almora (Uttrakhand) and Sh. Moninder Singh Pandher resident of Noida/Chandigarh on the request of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh and further notification from Govt. of India. It was alleged that the Surender Koli committed rape and murder of a victim at D-5, Sector 3, Noida (U.P.) on 12.11.2006. It was further alleged in FIR that the victim had gone to the said house of Moninder Singh Pandher on 12.11.2006 for house hold work and never came back. After investigation, charge-sheet was filed in the Court of SJM, CBI Cases, Ghaziabad (U.P) on 22.06.2007 U/s 302, 364, 376/511 and 201 of IPC. Charges were framed on 16.08.2007.

On 07.12.2017, both the accused were held guilty u/s 120-B, 302, 364, 376 and 201 of IPC by the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Ghaziabad.
