CBI ARRESTS A SUB-INSPECTOR OF DELHI POLICE FOR ACCEPTING A BRIBE OF RS. 17,000/-

         The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Sub-Inspector posted at Police Station, Mundka, New Delhi for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 17,000/- from the complainant.

       A case was registered U/s 7 of PC Act, 1988 against the Sub-Inspector on the allegations of demanding a bribe of Rs. 25,000/- from the complainant to release his water tank which was impounded by the said Sub-Inspector in another case. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 17,000/- from the complainant. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents.

       The arrested accused is being produced today before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Tis Hazari Court, New Delhi.
