LIFE IMPRISONMENT TO FOUR ACCUSED IN A CASE RELATING TO MURDER OF MS. SHEHLA MASOOD, AN RTI ACTIVIST

           The Special Judge, CBI cases, Indore (Madhya Pradesh) has today convicted four accused i.e. Ms. Zahida Parvez ; Sh. Saba Farooqi; Sh.Saqib Ali & Sh. Taabish Khan (all private persons) in a case relating to murder of Ms. Shehla Masood, an RTI Activist and sentenced them to undergo Life imprisonment. 

            CBI registered the case on 03.09.2011 on the request of Madhya Pradesh Government & further notification from Government of India and took over the investigation of crime No 533/2011 earlier registered at Police Station Koh-E-Fiza, Distt Bhopal (MP) u/s 302. The case was registered on the allegations relating to daylight murder of Ms Shehla Masood, an RTI activist  & business women of Bhopal on 16.08.2011 at around 1120 AM by a gun shot wound inflicted while she was sitting in a car in front of her house at Old Safia College Road in Bhopal. 

                After thorough investigation, charge sheet was filed against five accused on 25.05.2012 u/s 302, 120-B, 201 of IPC and u/s 25,27 of Arms Act.

               The Trial court found four accused guilty and convicted them. One accused was given pardon by the court.
