THREE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT TO THEN INSPECTOR OF CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES AND TWO PRIVATE PERSONS IN THE ALLOTMENT OF A GROUP HOUSING SOCIETY ON FAKE/FALSE DOCUMENTS

             The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Rohini, New Delhi has convicted Shri U.S. Bhatnagar, then Inspector working in the office of Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Delhi & S/Shri Gokul Chand Aggarwal & P.K Tirwani, both private persons and sentenced them to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment.

           CBI had registered a case on 26.12.2005 alleging that certain officials of Registrar of Co-operative Societies Delhi entered into a criminal conspiracy with Shri Gokul Chand Aggarwal & some other unknown private persons during 2003-04. In pursuance thereof, the accused persons fraudulently revived the Godrej Co-operative Group Housing Society Ltd. on the basis of fake/false documents without proper verification & enquiry by submitting false Inspection Report & its fake membership list. The same was approved and sent to Delhi Development Authority(DDA) for the allotment of land with the intention to cause loss to the Government and gain to the accused persons.

 After investigation, a charge sheet was filed on 15.12.2006 in the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Rohini, New Delhi. The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted them.
