            The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Group General Manager, IRCTC, Secunderabad; Senior Audit Officer & other Auditor of Office of Accountant General, Hyderabad and Administrative Officer of United India Insurance Company Divisional Office, Dehradun in separate cases of bribery.


            In the first case, CBI arrested the Group General Manager, Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Secunderabad for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000/- from the complainant for renewing his licence of IRCTC Canteen at Vijaywada Railway Station.  A cash of Rs.6.80 lakh was recovered during searches at his office & residential premises.


            In the second case, the CBI arrested a Senior Audit Officer and Auditor, both working in the Office of AG Office, Hyderabad for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.4800/- from the complainant working in the Polytechnic College for not raising any audit objections against the said college during financial audit being carried out.  It was also alleged that both the accused had earlier taken Rs.13,000/- as bribe.


            In the third case, CBI has arrested a Administrative Officer of United India Insurance Company, Divisional Office, Dehradun for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.25,000/- from the complainant. The bribe was allegedly demanded by the accused through a tout (private person, who works for a CA firm) for passing the insurance claim of the complainant whose entire medicine stock burnt down. The tout was also arrested.
