3rd September, 2004CBI FILES CHARGE SHEET AGAINST THREE IN SATYENDRA DUBEY MURDER CASE.
After long painstaking hard work and in the face of difficult circumstances, CBI was able to effectively work out the case. During investigation, CBI was able to arrest four persons, namely, S/Shri Mantu Kumar, Udai kumar, Pinku Ravidas and Sharvan Kumar, all residents of Katari village in Gaya, Bihar, who were the murderers of Shri Satyendra Dubey. It was revealed that these accused persons were habitual offenders and often indulged in burglaries and robberies. On the intervening night 26/27.11.03, they assembled together near Circuit House, Gaya to rob passers-by. At around 3.30 a.m. on 27.11.03, Shri Satyendra Dubey was passing in front of Circuit House Gaya in a cycle-rickshaw when these persons tried to rob him of his belongings.
During the robbery, Shri Satyendra Dubey resisted and in the ensuing scuffle, Mantu shot him dead with a .315 country-made weapon. Thereafter, the accused robbers ran away from the spot along with Rs. 4400/- robbed from Shri Satyendra Dubey and his brief case, which contained his personal documents and identity card. The robbers broke open the brief case with a stone and thereafter, disposed it off in an abandoned well along with the documents contained therein. The CBI has been able to recover the brief case and documents including the identity card of Shri Satyendra Dubey from the abandoned well on the disclosure of the accused persons and also recovered the country-made .315 pistol, which was used for the robbery and murder of Shri Satyendra Dubey.
